| Due to some cutbacks in the company, this xanga account is being laid off. However, the replacement, Dante_Deschain, is already up and running. Go there for continuous updates. Let's see if I can get a link going. Give me a minute.

I've also subscribed to myself, so you can go there that way too. How do you like that...I subscribed to myself. Metaxanga.

| I might be doing too much. But there are always people who have it worse than me. This is temporary. | | |
| KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY
Wes and I are thinking about getting a cat!!!! We're thinking of naming it Koji if it's a boy, and haven't decided on a girl name, but mostly we just want to check out the cat's personality first.
We went to About.com and looked up a bunch of information about how much a cat costs, the time and attention and supplies it needs, financial commitments (including food, litter, toys, vet, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, etc.), and we can definitely handle it.
It may still be a couple of weeks because we have to prepare, get a litterbox and food and toys and a carry case and everything, call a vet to estimate vaccination/de-sexing costs, get approval from our landlady and pay the pet deposit ($300!!! Gag me! But it's worth it) and then go check out shelters and stuff and find one we love, but I'm really excited!!!! Kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty!!! | | |
| How come I can never think of anything deep or wise to talk about on my xanga? It's always just, "here's what I'm doing" and "I love blah blah blah." Wow. I don't really have to time or energy to devote to that right now, I guess, especially not with class starting again soon. Still, though, does this indicate a total lack of critical thinking or depth on my part? This is slightly worrisome. However, tonight I am contemplating friendship, and the way things change. I'm kind of sad right now, and I'm not really sure why. Also tired. I closed at work today, and was there till almost midnight, and then I get to go in at 8:30 in the morning to open and work till 4. The best part is that they had another guy do exactly the same thing for Friday night and Saturday morning. Wouldn't it have made more sense to have one of us close Friday and Saturday and the other open on Friday and Saturday, instead of both of us having to work a late and early shift consecutively and not get any sleep? I talked to him, and both of our availability would have allowed it. Oh, well. | | |
| I have found myself employed at Borders, in the cafe area. It's basically like Panera...except better. I love working there so far. We get to take out the books, like a library loan thing. I get a discount on almost everything in the store, and after six months I start getting a $30 gift card to spend at the store ONCE A MONTH. WOW.
This is a dream job, I tell you. I'm working like nuts, though. They've got me scheduled a week straight to begin with. That's cool, though, things will settle down by around Monday or Tuesday.
The apartment rocks...Wes rocks...my job rocks...and school will, in its own sense, rock. Can't wait to get more people out to hang out here.
Agh...I feel really bad about this for some reason, but it really bothers me when people post song lyrics. If it's because I'm lazy and don't want to look for meaning and figure out what may be happening in their lives, then so be it. I don't know why I don't like it. Oh, well, to each his own.
